Hand-Turned Butternut Bowl with Natural Springwood | White Walnut Bowl
Handcrafted from white walnut—commonly known as butternut—this one-of-a-kind wooden bowl showcases warm golden-blonde tones, expressive grain, and naturally contrasting springwood. Dark character markings along the rim create a striking organic detail that makes this piece truly distinctive.
Butternut belongs to the walnut family but is much lighter in color than traditional black walnut. Its soft, flowing grain gives this bowl a warm, inviting appearance that works beautifully as a serving bowl, decorative centerpiece, or natural catchall.
Individually hand-turned, finely sanded, and finished with our food-safe blend of beeswax and mineral oil, this bowl was created to highlight the wood’s natural color and character without paint or stain.

NATURAL WOOD CHARACTER
Springwood, also known as earlywood, is the lighter growth produced during the beginning of the tree’s growing season. Its pale coloring creates beautiful natural contrast within the butternut grain. Color variations, knots, markings, and other organic features are part of the wood’s story and are not considered defects.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not soak or place in the dishwasher or microwave. Recondition periodically with a food-safe beeswax and mineral-oil wood conditioner.
